MTB – THREAD MILLS WITH INTERNAL COOLANT BORE FOR BLIND HOLES
The MTB line of thread milling tools capitalized on the success of the MT line, and improved it further, by adding cooling through the bore.

Features:

  • Coolant fluid washes the chips out of the hole
  • Increased tool life

MTZ – THREAD MILLS WITH INTERNAL COOLANT THROUGH THE FLUTES
Tools from the MTZ range of thread milling tools support cooling through the tool’s flutes. This enables the stream of the coolant fluid to reach the cutting edge efficiently, helping to achieve a smoother cutting operation.

EMT – THREAD MILLS FOR EXTERNAL THREADS
The EMT line of thread milling tools provides a basic, cost-effective solution, for machining External threads.

MTQ – THREAD MILLS WITH RELIEVED NECKS FOR DEEP WORK PIECES
The MTQ line of thread milling tools is best suited for the threading of medium and large threads, in fairly deep work pieces (including those at the bottom of the application).

  • High rigidity and stability (anti-vibration)
  • Allows the reduction of cycle times via the use of higher cutting speeds and feeds

FMT – FAST THREAD MILLS WITH INTERNAL COOLANT BORE
The FMT/Fast MT line of solid carbide thread milling tools is a line of tools that were designed for increased productivity, and high performance.

  • Large number of flutes (5-8), resulting in significantly shorter machining times
  • Internal coolant bore

AMT – THREAD MILLS FOR ALUMINUM
High-speed aluminium machining requires tools that minimize the tendency of Aluminium to stick to the cutting edges of the tool, provide high surface finishes, and ensure efficient chip evacuation. The AMT line of tools is compatible with all the requirements stated above.

SOLID CARBIDE TAPERED END MILLS
Solid carbide end mills, designed to be used before thread milling operations of conical threads (during the milling preparation process). The use of these end mills helps to increase the tool life of the mill thread cutters / indexable inserts, and reduces the overall machining time.

Mini-Type Thread Mills

The Mini Mill-Thread family is comprised of small solid-carbide thread mills. The tools in the family have been specially designed for the production of threads in very small bores. In order to achieve this, we’ve employed unique tool designs, accurate geometries, and quality coatings.

  • Low cutting forces thanks to the short profile
  • Can work under high cutting speeds, resulting in shorter machining times
  • Threading up to shoulder in blind holes

Our range of Mini-Type Thread Mill tools consists of the following lines:

 

MTS - THREAD MILLS WITHOUT INTERNAL COOLANT
The full-profile thread mills in this product line are compatible only with Internal threads (with the exception of tools for the G55° thread profile). They can be used to machine Titanium, surgical stainless steels, and hardened materials (up to 45 HRC) – as well as for general purpose threading.

Features:

  • Supports threads as small as ISO M1 x 0.25, and 0-80 UNF
  • The thread depth can be up to 5 x Thread Diameter (for some tools)
  • Multi (3-5) flutes
  • Suitable for high-speed air turbine machines (30,000-40,000 RPM), and for standard machining centres (6,000+ RPM)

MTS – THREAD MILLS WITH INTERNAL COOLANT THROUGH THE FLUTES
The full-profile thread mills in this product line are capable of cutting Internal threads (only for UNJ and MJ profiles). Most of them come with internal coolant through the flutes.

Features:

  • The thread depth can be up to 2.5 x Thread Diameter
  • Multi (3) flutes

Carbide Grade: MT8 - Sub-micron grade with advanced PVD triple coating (ISO K10-K20). Extremely high heat resistance for maximum performance; Smooth cutting operation. General purpose for all materials.

 

MTSB - THREAD MILLS WITH INTERNAL COOLANT BORE
The full-profile thread mills in this product line improve on the basic MTS thread mills, by adding a coolant bore, and either 1 or 2 coolant holes. By providing a high-pressure stream of coolant fluid through the bore, we can wash the chips away from the thread during the cutting cycle – improving tool performance, and providing superior thread accuracy. An additional benefit is the efficient cooling of the tool’s cutting edge.

Features:

  • Supports threads as small as ISO M1.2 x 0.25, and 0-80 UNF
  • The thread depth can be up to 4 x Thread Diameter (for some tools)
  • Multi (3-4) flutes
  • Suitable for high-speed air turbine machines (30,000-40,000 RPM), and for standard machining centres (6,000+ RPM)

Recommended Usage:

  • Thread milling operations in horizontal machining centres, especially cases where the chips are concentrated at the bottom of the thread, and external coolant can’t wash them away.
  • Complicated applications, when the external coolant is inefficient, or can’t reach the machined area
  • Cases where the tool collet is too close to the application pre-hole, which causes it to block the external coolant

MTI – THREAD MILLS FOR DEEP PARTS (PARTIAL PROFILE)
A product line of partial-profile thread mills, optimized for threading deep parts. The tools of this line are compatible with a wide range pitches and profiles, and support both Internal and External threads.

  • Supports threads as small as ISO M1.6 x 0.25, and 0-80 UNF
  • Both 60° and 55° profiles supported
  • Multi (3) flutes

MTI – THREAD MILLS FOR DEEP PARTS (PARTIAL PROFILE, THROUGH COOLANT)
This product line offers partial-profile thread mills that improve on the basic MTI partial-profile range, by adding an internal coolant (through the flutes). This prevents chip build-up, which improves the performance, and extends the lifespan of the tool. The tools of this product line support both Internal and External threads.

  • Supports pitches as small as 0.5 mm (Internal) / 0.4 mm (External)
  • Capable of cutting threads up to 50 mm deep
  • Only 60° profiles are supported

These tools are capable of working at high cutting speeds, which reduces the machining times.

Features:

  • Tools available for the ISO, UN, G55°, MJ, and UNJ thread profiles
  • Only internal threads supported by most mills (with the exception of G55° tools)
  • Depending on the tool, the thread depth can be up to 2 or 3 x Thread Diameter

This helps them to successfully cope with machining exceptionally hard materials (up to 65 HRC). They can handle threads as small as ISO M2.5 x 0.45 and 4-40 UNC.
