What is milling?

Milling is the process of machining material using rotary cutters to remove material by advancing a cutter into a workpiece. There are many different types and ways to perform a CNC Milling Application.

What are the most common types of milling cutters?

The most common types of milling cutters are: End Mills, Indexable Mills, Face Mills, Shoulder Mills and Groove Mills. End Milling & Face Milling are the two most popular milling operations.

What is the difference between end milling and face milling?

The difference between end milling and face milling is that an end mill uses both the end and the sides of the cutter, whereas face milling is used for horizontal cutting. We offer some of the highest performing milling tools in the UK.
