Widin end mills are available across twelve specialist series, each engineered for a specific material group or application. The Z-Star series covers general-purpose solid carbide end mills for everyday milling in mild and medium hardness steels. The E-Star series is Widin's high-performance range for hard milling in hardened steels between 48–60 HRC, featuring TiSiN and TiAlCrN coatings for maximum wear resistance and thermal stability. The X-Star series is optimised for stainless steel, titanium alloys and other difficult-to-cut exotic materials, with AlCrN and TiSiN coatings providing superior edge retention and reduced friction at high cutting speeds.
The Widin U-Wing and ALU Wave series are specialist end mills for aluminium and non-ferrous machining — featuring high-rake, polished flutes and DLC or uncoated options to prevent built-up edge and deliver excellent surface finish. The Widin S-Wing roughing end mill series offers serrated cutting edges for aggressive material removal in steel and stainless steel, significantly reducing cutting forces and vibration. The V-Star series targets stainless steel and exotic alloys, while the Gra Mate series provides specialist solutions for graphite, CFRP (carbon fibre) and other composite materials.
Widin end mills are available in a wide range of geometries — square end, ball nose, corner radius, tapered, long reach and deep cavity — across 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 flute configurations to suit roughing, semi-finishing and finishing operations. Sub-micron carbide substrates are used throughout the Widin range, ensuring consistent tool life and dimensional accuracy.
