Solid Carbide Thread Mills

Solid carbide thread mills for CNC machining in steel, stainless, aluminium and exotic alloys. The range covers ISO metric, UNF, UNC, NPT and specialist thread forms — single-flute for small-diameter and fine-pitch threads, multi-flute for faster cycle times in larger thread sizes. Thread mills produce threads by helical interpolation on a machining centre. One tool covers multiple thread sizes by adjusting the interpolation radius in the program — no tool change needed for size variation. Lower cutting forces than tapping, no breakage risk in blind holes, and the thread size can be corrected by adjusting the toolpath offset without changing tooling.

Sizes in stock cover M2 to M36 and inch equivalents. Full-profile thread mills cut the complete thread form in a single helical pass. Multi-form variants make multiple passes to full thread depth — suited to deep thread lengths or tougher materials where tool load needs to be managed across passes.
