Edge preparation covers the finishing operations that clean up an edge or add a functional profile after the main cut — a groove, a chamfer, a rounded corner, a countersink for a fastener, or an engraved part number. We stock tools for all five of these operations.
Groove milling covers HSS-E Woodruff cutters (including Europa and Dormer Pramet ranges), solid carbide groove mills, and indexable groove milling systems. Chamfer milling is solid carbide or indexable, in a range of angles. Countersinks and counterbores come in HSS-E, solid carbide, and Carmex indexable versions for fastener seating and hole finishing. Corner rounding cutters are available in HSS-E, carbide, and indexable formats.
