Carbide Burrs for Aluminium & Non-Ferrous

Aluminium cut carbide burrs, made for soft and gummy materials. Aluminium, brass, copper, bronze and most plastics pack the flutes of a standard single or double cut burr within seconds, and once the gullets load the tool stops cutting and starts rubbing — producing heat, smearing and a poor surface instead of swarf. Aluminium cut has fewer, deeper flutes with much wider spacing so the chip throws clear on its own.

Stocked in Type A (cylinder without end cut), Type B (cylinder with end cut), Type C (ball nose cylinder), Type D (ball nose), Type F (ball nose tree) and Type L (ball nose cone), from 6mm to 16mm head diameter on a 6mm shank.

If you need a shape we do not stock in aluminium cut — oval, pointed tree, flame, countersink, cone or inverted cone — single cut is the closer substitute, because its wider tooth spacing clogs less readily than double cut.
