Ordering & Accounts

No — you can checkout as a guest without registering. However, creating a free account gives you access to your order history, saved delivery addresses, and makes reordering much quicker. You can register at any time before or after your first order.
You can apply online for a 30-day end of month credit account. Visit our Credit Account page, fill in the application form, and our accounts team will review it. We typically respond within 1–2 working days. Credit accounts are available to established businesses.
We process orders quickly so please call us immediately on 01732 887334 if you need to make changes. If your order hasn't been picked and packed yet, we'll do our best to help. Once dispatched, we're unable to make amendments — in that case our standard returns policy applies.
Once your order is dispatched you'll receive a tracking link by email. For DPD deliveries, you'll also get a text or email on the morning of delivery with a one-hour window. If you haven't received tracking details, check your spam folder first — then call us on 01732 887334 and we'll look into it straight away.
Yes — our website is available 24/7. Orders placed outside office hours are monitored and will be processed and dispatched as soon as our team is back in the office. For same-day dispatch, orders must be placed before 5pm Monday–Friday.

We offer the following options for UK mainland addresses:
  • Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex. VAT)
  • DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex. VAT)
  • Royal Mail Special Delivery (pre-1pm) — £12.50
  • DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00

Yes. Royal Mail Tracked 24 is free on orders over £50 ex. VAT, and DPD Local Next Day is free on orders over £100 ex. VAT. Both apply to UK mainland addresses only.
Orders placed before 5pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 5pm or at weekends are dispatched on the next working day. Bank holidays may affect dispatch times — check our Opening Hours page for details.
Yes, we deliver throughout the UK and Ireland. Charges vary by region:
  • Scottish Highlands & Islands — £20.00 (2-day courier)
  • Northern Ireland (BT postcodes) — £20.00 (2-day courier)
  • Republic of Ireland — £40.00 (2-day courier)
Please allow 2 working days for delivery to these areas.
Yes. International delivery is available at £65.00 via international courier. Please note that international orders are shipped exclusive of local duty and customs charges, which are the buyer's responsibility. For large or heavy shipments, call us on 01732 887334 for a freight quote.
Yes. DPD Saturday delivery is available at £25.00. Your order must be placed by 4pm on Friday to qualify. DPD will deliver before 12pm on Saturday.

Returns & Refunds

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resaleable condition. Returns received after 14 days will not be accepted. Full details are on our Returns page.
Complete our online returns form first — we cannot process a return without it. Then pack the item securely using a tracked or recorded postal service and send it to:

Goods remain your responsibility until received by us, so tracked delivery is essential.
Yes — a 20% handling fee is deducted from your refund on non-defective returns. Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed product fault. You are also responsible for return postage costs. If your refund brings the order below a free delivery threshold, standard delivery charges will also be deducted.
Report any defects or incorrect items in writing within 14 days of receipt. Call us on 01732 887334 or email sales@protool-ltd.co.uk. If the fault is confirmed or we sent the wrong item, we'll arrange a replacement or credit note and cover your return postage costs.
Once we've received and inspected your return, we aim to process your refund within 5 working days. Refunds are issued back to your original payment method. You'll receive a confirmation email once it's been processed.

Payment & Credit

We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also offer Klarna (buy now, pay in 3 interest-free instalments) and 30-day business credit accounts for qualifying companies. All payments are processed securely.
Klarna lets you split your purchase into 3 equal payments at 0% interest. The first payment is taken at checkout, the second 30 days later, and the third 60 days after your purchase. Simply select Klarna at checkout. For more information visit our Klarna page.
All prices shown on our website are exclusive of VAT (ex. VAT). VAT at the current UK rate is added at checkout. Your invoice will show both the net amount and VAT separately.
A 30-day end of month credit account lets approved businesses order online or by phone and pay via monthly invoice rather than at checkout. Our accounts team reviews applications and we typically respond within 1–2 working days. Apply for a credit account here.

Solid carbide tools are harder and more wear-resistant, capable of running at higher speeds — ideal for machining tough materials and achieving tight tolerances.
