Ideal for conical thread pre-machining, the Carmex Solid Carbide Tapered End Mill is specifically engineered to prepare tapered threads before thread milling, delivering exceptional precision, durability, and machining efficiency. Optimised for thread prep, it creates a precise tapered entry to enhance thread strength and endurance while evenly distributing cutting forces across the tool. Made from high-performance grade MT 7 sub-micron carbide and finished with a multi-layer TiAlN coating, it offers outstanding wear and heat resistance, making it suitable for steels, stainless steels, and other alloys up to ~47 HRC. Its precision-engineered geometry includes 4 flutes and is available in various tapers and lengths to suit NPT, BSPT, and NPTF thread standards.
