Metric Forming Tap (Roll) HSS-E - TIN Coated - Fluteless
OSG's metric forming taps, also called roll taps, don't cut a chip at all - they displace material to form the thread, so there's no swarf and the finished thread comes out stronger in ductile materials. They're HSS-E cobalt steel with a TiN coating, the general-purpose gold coating that extends tool life. All held in UK stock.
