Description

The Tanoi Threading Tap is a precision metric spiral-point tap designed for reliable through-hole threading, sized for M1.7 x 0.35. Crafted from low-alloy HSS-E with enhanced cobalt, it delivers durability and wear resistance for demanding metalworking tasks in manufacturing, automotive, and general shop environments.

  • Thread Size: M1.7 x 0.35 (metric)
  • Material: Low-alloy HSS-E with cobalt for increased hardness and wear resistance
  • Design: Spiral-point geometry to enhance chip evacuation and reduce cutting torque
  • Durability: Robust construction that withstands repeated use in tough manufacturing contexts
  • Best For: Through-hole threading on a wide range of metals in metric applications

With this tap, you can expect precise, repeatable threads that minimize rework and scrap. The spiral-point design pushes chips forward, reducing clogging and allowing faster tapping cycles, while the HSS-E composition provides longer tool life in tough metals. This makes it a reliable choice for production environments, repairs, and custom fabrication where consistent thread quality matters. To maximize performance, use proper lubrication and maintain alignment during tapping to extend tool life and achieve the best finish.
