The Carmex Carbide Threading Insert ABUT TiAlN coated (30-12ABUT) is a versatile threading solution designed for machinists who need reliable performance across a broad range of thread forms. - Length options: Available in five lengths from 12 mm to 40 mm to fit a wide range of holders and applications.
- Coating: TiAlN-coated carbide for excellent wear resistance, higher hardness, and better heat stability in demanding materials.
- Edge configuration: Double-sided cutting edges provide two usable edges (except for BSPT, NPT, NPTF, American Buttress, and API RD profiles).
- Thread profile coverage: Designed to cover all common thread profiles with a single insert, simplifying setup and reducing tool changes.
- Internal/External threading compatibility: In many profiles, the same insert can machine both internal and external threads (exceptions apply for ISO, UN, NPSM, UNJ, and Acme).
- Material and craftsmanship: Precision-ground carbide substrate delivering rigidity, accuracy, and a reliable cutting edge.
