Description
Solid carbide thread mill for internal 1/4 x 20 TPI UN threads. AMT is Carmex’s thread mill for high-speed aluminium. The uncoated edge is kept sharp and smooth so aluminium doesn’t build up on it, and it works on cast iron and stainless too. It has a plain cylindrical shank (Weldon on request). This version also has a chamfering edge, so the hole is chamfered in the same cycle.
This is an internal-only thread mill, and Carmex doesn’t list it for external threads – that’s what the separate EMT range is for. K20 is uncoated sub-micron carbide with a sharp edge, the right choice for aluminium and cast iron.
