The Vortex 5C Imperial Lathe Collet with Round Bore (1" 1/16") is a soft collet designed for true customization in 5C lathe work. It’s built for machinists who need a bore tailored to a specific size, depth, taper, or shape, delivering a precise grip on unusual components.
- Round bore size: 1" 1/16" imperial bore that can be bored to your exact specification inside a 5C lathe collet chuck.
- Precision runout: 13–15 micron runout after boring, helping maintain concentricity on delicate parts.
- Soft collet design: Intended to be bored to a precise size, depth, taper, or shape for a custom fit.
- Open-bore with pins: Pins hold the collet open during the boring process for clean, controlled machining.
- Re-borability: Can be re-bored multiple times to accommodate larger parts; keep the pins for repeated use.
- 5C lathe compatibility: Designed for use in a 5C lathe collet chuck, enabling straightforward setup and repeatable results.

- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
