The Dormer Pramet A400 M5 HSS ST Straight Shank Subland 90° Drill, built to DIN 8374 standards, is your go-to tool for precise clearance holes tailored to standard metric threads. With an 118° pilot followed by a 90° chamfer, this drill guides a chamfered hole that ensures easy tapping and reliable thread engagement right from the first pass.
The steam oxide finish minimizes workpiece material sticking to the cutting edge, reducing built-up edge and helping maintain a clean, accurate hole through repeated cycles. This makes it especially effective for production environments where consistency matters as much as speed.
