Description
Solid carbide thread mill for external UN threads at 18 TPI. EMT tools are made for external threads: studs, spigots and shafts. Spiral flutes give a good finish, and with 3 to 5 flutes the cycle is short.
It cuts external threads only. For internal threads, use the Carmex MT, MTB or MTZ ranges. MT7 is Carmex’s general-purpose grade: sub-micron carbide with a TiAlN multi-layer coating, meant to run at medium to high cutting speeds across all materials. Carmex rates this tool for material up to 47 HRc.
