Description
The Widin Live Centre is a carbide-tipped, nut-type live center designed for NC standard lathes. It minimizes bite interference at the workpiece tip, delivering smoother starts and more consistent turning, available in No. 3 size with Morse taper options to fit your machine.
Sealed to protect the bearings from cutting oils and foreign substances, this NCBCN No. 3 (and No. 6) configuration keeps the working area clean and reduces maintenance. Its high-precision triplexed bearing structure and a shaft hardness of 58–62 HRC deliver ultra-low runout — 0.00012 inches (0.003 mm) — ensuring durable, repeatable performance across demanding turning tasks.
- Minimizes bite interference for smoother turning: carbide-tipped tip reduces friction at the contact point, promoting cleaner starts and more stable feeds for consistent finishes on a range of materials.
- Sealed to keep oils and contaminants out: robust sealing shields bearings from cutting fluids and debris, extending service life and reducing maintenance without interrupting workflow.
