Description
The Widin Live Centre is a heavy‑duty live center designed for lathes that demand robust weight capacity and reliable bite control. Its carbide‑tipped design provides durable centering performance, reducing bite interference and helping you achieve clean, consistent finishes even on tough materials.
Available with Morse tapers No. 3 and No. 6 and built as NKBC Type No.5, this unit seals the body to keep cutting oils and contaminants out. It features taper‑roller bearings for longer life and a shaft engineered for a runout of 0.00012" (0.003 mm), ensuring true rotation during demanding turning operations.
- Carbide-Tipped for Long-Life Centering: The carbide tip resists wear under heavy cuts, maintaining precise center support and minimizing bite interference to deliver reliable finishes and reduced setup time.
- Ultra-Low Runout for Precision: Achieves a runout of 0.00012" (0.003 mm), keeping the workpiece concentric and reducing vibration for repeatable diameter measurements on long parts.
- Sealed Body with Heavy-Duty Bearings and Morse Taper Compatibility: Sealed against cutting oils and contaminants protects internal bearings for longer life, while taper-roller bearings handle heavy loads. Morse taper options No.3 and No.6 are available for versatile mounting on compatible lathes.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
