Description

The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar (MTL - K20 Grade) is a precision solid carbide bar designed for tiny internal boring and small-diameter turning. With a 1.5 mm minimum diameter, a 6 mm reach, and a left-hand orientation, it excels in confined bores and hard-to-reach features, delivering clean, accurate holes and consistent finishes.

Two coating options tailor performance to your workpiece: BXC, a PVD TiN-coated grade optimized for low cutting speeds and stainless steels (ISO P30–P50 / K25–K40); and BMK, a sub-micron grade with a triple PVD coating for exceptional heat resistance and smooth cutting across a broad range of materials.

  • Ultra-compact precision for small bores: 1.5 mm minimum diameter and 6 mm reach enable accurate internal cuts in tight spaces with minimal tool deflection and excellent hole quality.
  • Coating options tuned to material and speed: Choose BXC TiN for stainless steels at lower speeds or BMK’s triple PVD coating for higher heat resistance and smoother cutting across diverse materials.
  • Rigid carbide construction for reliable results: Solid K20-grade carbide delivers stiffness and wear resistance, providing consistent performance and longer tool life across demanding turning and boring tasks.

This tiny boring bar is designed to streamline setups, reduce tool changes, and help you achieve precise, repeatable hole finishes. Its compact geometry, paired with purpose-built coatings and durable carbide, supports efficient workflows and reliable results in both stainless and general-purpose applications.
