The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a compact boring bar built for precision micro-boring and internal operations. Crafted from K20 grade solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for long tool life. With a 2.1 mm minimum diameter, a 10 mm reach, and a nose radius of R0.15 in a left-hand configuration, it’s optimized for small-diameter bores and consistent hole quality. While designed primarily for boring, it also handles light turning tasks, giving you a versatile option in a single tool.
This tool is part of Carmex’s carbide bar family and offers coating options to match your material and speed. The BXC - PVD TiN coated grade is ideal for low cutting speeds and works well with a wide range of stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40). For demanding materials and higher heat, the BMK - sub-micron grade with advanced PVD triple coating delivers maximum heat resistance and smooth cutting across many materials (ISO K10-K20). These coatings help extend edge life, reduce friction, and maintain cutting performance across different jobs.
