Description

The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar for MTL is a compact, high-precision solid carbide bar designed for micro-bore work and fine turning. Suitable for engineers, machinists, buyers, and hobbyists, it delivers clean holes and smooth finishes in tight spaces where larger bars can’t reach. With a 2.1 mm minimum diameter, 10 mm reach, and a left-hand orientation, this tiny tool combines accessibility with robust cutting performance.

  • Compact, precise geometry for tiny bores: The 2.1 mm minimum diameter, 10 mm reach, and R0.1 nose radius enable accurate hole creation in confined spaces with reduced tool deflection and better surface finishes.
  • K20 solid carbide with coated options: Made from high-hardness K20 carbide and available with protective PVD coatings (TiN or triple-coated BMK) to improve wear resistance, heat handling, and consistent cutting across demanding small-diameter applications.
  • Versatile for boring and general turning: Primed for boring yet capable of handling a wide range of turning tasks, helping you complete multiple operations with a single tool and minimize tool changes.

This tiny tool is designed to stay productive over long runs: the hard carbide core resists wear on stainless steels and other materials, while the coatings reduce friction and heat buildup for steadier cutting at the speeds appropriate for fine-diameter work. The combination of compact size, precise geometry, and durable construction supports reliable, repeatable results and a smoother workflow when machining small components or deep bores.
