Description
The OSG BSF Spiral Flute Threading Tap provides machinists and toolmakers with a reliable solution for creating precise internal threads in blind holes. Built from HSS-E material and finished with a steam oxide coating, it supports consistent performance during demanding threading operations.
- Material: High-speed steel with cobalt (HSS-E) construction maintains edge strength at elevated temperatures.
- Coating: Steam oxide surface treatment reduces galling and improves wear resistance in ferrous materials.
- Flute Geometry: Spiral flute design directs chips upward and out of the hole, preventing packing in blind applications.
- Thread Form: BSF (British Standard Fine) profile delivers accurate thread geometry for legacy or imperial fastening systems.
This tap reduces the risk of tool breakage caused by chip accumulation and helps produce clean, full-profile threads without secondary cleaning steps, making it practical for production runs and maintenance work where blind-hole access is limited.

- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
