The OSG Threading Tap Metric A-Spiral Flute is a right-hand, TiCN-coated tapping tool designed for precise threading of blind holes in a range of materials. Built for production environments, it delivers consistent, long‑lasting performance and reliable thread quality in challenging deep-hole applications.
- Size / Thread: M4 x 0.7 with right‑hand thread for standard internal threading in blind holes.
- Flute Design: A‑Spiral flute optimizes chip evacuation in deep or restricted cavities, reducing snagging and breakage.
- Material: Powder metal body provides high strength, wear resistance, and durability under repeated use.
- Coating: TiCN coating increases hardness and lowers friction, extending tool life and improving wear resistance.
- Application: Specifically engineered for blind-hole tapping (DIN371) to ensure consistent geometry and plug-free threads.
With this tap, you gain consistent internal threads with tight tolerances on blind holes, reducing rework and part scrap. The A‑Spiral flute expels chips efficiently, enabling deeper taps without clogging. Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
