Description
The Vortex 5C Emergency Collet (Square - 8mm) is a soft, bore-friendly tool designed for use with 5C lathe collet chucks. It lets you bore to exact size, depth, taper, or shape to suit a specific component, while delivering a tight 13–15 micron runout for repeatable accuracy. Pins are fitted to keep the collet open during boring operations, and when you’re done, the collet can be re-bored many times to hold larger parts—saving you from discarding reusable tooling.
- Customizable bore for a perfect fit: The soft material can be bored to size, depth, taper, or shape to match your component, reducing setup time and ensuring a secure grip.
- Open-bore pins for safe, precise boring: Pins keep the collet open during boring in a 5C lathe collet chuck, enabling clean, controlled operations and consistent results.
- Re-boreable for long tool life: Re-borable multiple times to accommodate larger parts, maximizing reuse and minimizing waste while preserving pin utility.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
