The Carmex Small Indexable Carbide Insert is designed for precise boring, profiling and facing, delivering reliable performance in internal bore work and general turning tasks.
- 22° cutting angle: Optimized geometry for efficient material removal in boring, profiling and facing applications.
- R0.2 nose radius: Fine nose radius to help achieve smoother finishes on challenging materials.
- Minimum bore diameter: 12.95 mm (0.51 in) to handle small- to mid-sized internal bores.
- Grade and coating: BLU PVD triple-layer coated sub-micron carbide for enhanced wear resistance and long tool life in tough materials.
- Suitable materials: Stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and most high-temperature alloys (M10–M20, K05–K20, N10–N20, S10–S20).
- Primary use: Boring, profiling, and facing, with broad compatibility for general turning tasks.
The BLU PVD triple-layer coating delivers improved wear resistance across a range of demanding materials, helping maintain cutting accuracy and reduce unscheduled tool changes.
