Description

ITP Straight Styli Type B with a ruby ball is a precision probing stylus designed for metrology and CMM workflows. Built for everyday standard use, it delivers reliable, repeatable contact with a rigid carbide stem and high-quality ruby ball ends.

  • Model and connection: Type B straight stylus with an M3 mounting thread for secure, compatible attachment to standard probe heads.
  • Material: Carbide stem delivering exceptional rigidity and long-term dimensional stability in demanding measurement environments.
  • Ball end: Ruby ball tip available in sizes to match probing needs, from Ø0,2 mm up to Ø1,0 mm, ensuring minimal wear and smooth contact with test surfaces.
  • Overall length: 21.5 mm, providing a compact, predictable reach for precise touchpoints.
  • Stem configuration: Designed to support single- or multi-stepped configurations to accommodate different probing geometries.
  • Custom sizing: Other sizes can be requested via the configurator or by email to fit specialized measurement tasks.
  • Model reference: THM3010H4021 for easy ordering and inventory matching.

In daily metrology work, the ITP Straight Styli Type B with Ruby Ball offers consistent contact and minimal deflection, helping you achieve repeatable measurements across setups. The carbide stem’s rigidity reduces measurement drift, while the high-quality ruby balls provide durable wear resistance and a clean contact surface. This makes it ideal for calibration routines, fixture inspection, and routine CMM probing where a reliable, standard-length stylus is required.
