Description
The ITP Straight Styli - Type A with a ruby ball is a precision probing accessory designed for reliable, everyday measurement tasks. Built around a rigid carbide stem and a high-quality ruby contact ball, it delivers consistent touch performance for metrology and CMM workflows.
- Thread: M5 threaded connection for secure mounting in most probe heads
- Length: 41 mm overall length to fit into tight measurement setups
- Stem Material: Carbide stem for exceptional rigidity and wear resistance
- Ruby Ball: Premium ruby contact ball available in sizes from Ø0.7 mm to Ø3.0 mm
- Customization: Additional sizes available on request via configurator or by email
By combining a rigid carbide stem with a durable ruby ball, this stylus minimizes deflection and height error during measurements, enabling accurate checks on small features, edges, and flat surfaces. The Type A ruby ball provides repeatable contact and long wear life, reducing downtime and maintenance in daily metrology tasks. Ideal for technicians and engineers performing routine inspections, calibration checks, and high-precision surface measurements across manufacturing, automotive, electronics, and aerospace environments.
