Description

The ITP Straight Styli Type A with a ruby ball is a precision probing stylus designed for metrology, CMM inspection, and tight-space measurements. Built for reliability in demanding workflows, it combines a rigid carbide stem with a high‑quality ruby ball to deliver consistent, accurate contact.

  • Ruby Ball Sizes: Available in Ø2.0 mm to Ø10.0 mm, with high-quality ruby spheres chosen for precision and durability.
  • Carbide Stem: Ultra‑rigid construction minimizes deflection and wear for repeatable measurements over time.
  • Thread Type: M5 thread fits standard probing fixtures and adapters for seamless integration.
  • Overall Length: 75 mm total length provides practical reach in confined spaces without sacrificing rigidity.
  • Configuration: Type A straight geometry—optimal for straightforward, linear probing tasks.
  • Custom Size Availability: Other ruby ball sizes can be requested via the configurator or by email to suit specific measurement requirements.

Ideal for coordinate measuring machines, fixture alignment, and precision gaging, this stylus offers a stable contact point that minimizes workpiece impact while maximizing measurement repeatability. The ruby ball’s hardness reduces wear on both the stylus and the workpiece, while the carbide stem maintains straightness under load. With versatile ball sizes and a standard M5 mounting, it adapts to a broad range of applications, from routine inspections to specialized tooling checks.
