Description
The ITP Straight Styli – Type B with a silicon nitride ball is a precision probing accessory designed for everyday metrology tasks. Built for technicians and shops that rely on reliable, repeatable contact measurements in CMM and scanning workflows.
- Threaded connection: M5 thread for secure attachment to measurement heads.
- Overall length: 20 mm total length for compact reach and versatility.
- Stem material: Tungsten carbide stem provides high rigidity and stability under load.
- Ball material and size: Silicon nitride ball, available in Ø1.0 mm to Ø1.5 mm; other sizes can be requested via configurator or by email.
- Configuration: Straight stylus with stems that can be single or multi-stepped.
- Surface compatibility: Silicon nitride ball is recommended for scanning untreated aluminum.
This combination minimizes deflection during probing, delivering consistent data across features and surfaces. The 20 mm reach and M5 interface fit a wide range of probes, while the silicon nitride ball radii provide flexibility for delicate features, small holes, and tight radii. When you need a tailored setup, additional ball sizes can be requested through the configurator or by email to match your specific measurement strategy.

- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
