Choosing The Right One
BT40 Or DV40, 70mm Or 100mm
Check Your Spindle Taper
BT40 and DV40 (DIN 69871) are both 40-taper, but the flange and pull stud thread differ, so they are not interchangeable. Match the holder to the taper your machine uses.
Pick A Gauge Length
The 70mm holder keeps the tool close to the spindle for maximum rigidity. The 100mm gives extra reach past clamps and deep features, with a little more overhang.
ER32 Collets
All four take standard ER32 collets, so one holder covers a wide range of shank diameters with a quick collet change.
