The Carmex Carbide Threading Insert – NPS, TiAlN Coated, 14-14NPS is a versatile, high-precision cutting insert designed to cover the most common thread profiles with reliability and efficiency.
- Five length options: available in a 12 mm to 40 mm range to suit a wide variety of pitches and tool setups.
- TiAlN coating: TiAlN coating provides enhanced wear and heat resistance, helping maintain edge life during challenging threading operations.
- Carbide body: solid carbide construction delivers stiffness and consistent cutting performance for accurate thread formation.
- Double-sided cutting edges: each insert carries two cutting edges for extended life and lower tooling costs (note: BSPT/NPT/NPTF/American Buttress/API RD profiles may differ).
- Internal & external capabilities: for many thread profiles, the same insert can machine both internal and external threads, reducing tool changes (excludes ISO/UN/NPSM/UNJ/Acme).
- Comprehensive thread coverage: designed to address a broad range of common thread profiles in a single insert family.
