The Carmex Carbide Threading Insert – Unified, TiAlN-coated, model 30I20UN – is a versatile threading insert designed for precise work across common profiles. Built for machinists and job shops, it delivers reliable performance for both internal and external threading tasks.
- Double-sided edges: Two cutting edges per insert maximize tool life and reduce downtime (except for BSPT/NPT/NPTF/American Buttress/API RD profiles).
- TiAlN coating: Enhanced wear resistance and heat tolerance for longer insert life in demanding threading operations.
- Five length options: Available in 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 32 mm and 40 mm to suit different pitches and holder setups.
- Wide thread-profile coverage: Designed to cover all common thread profiles within the Unified threading family for versatile use.
- Pitch range: Depending on length, suitable for pitches from 0.5 mm (32 TPI) to 6.0 mm (4 TPI), enabling multiple standard threads with a single insert family.
- Internal and external threading compatibility: In many profiles, the same insert can machine both internal and external threads, reducing setup time and inventory (excluding ISO, UN, NPSM, UNJ, and Acme profiles).
This unified threading insert helps you achieve consistent thread geometry, improved surface finish, and lower total tooling costs. Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
