The Carmex Carbide Threading Insert – NPSM, TiAlN coated – is a compact, high-performance threading solution for machinists and shops that demand versatility and reliability across standard thread profiles. With multiple lengths and dual cutting edges, it simplifies setup and boosts productivity on lathes and CNC machines.
- Coating: TiAlN coating enhances hardness and heat resistance, helping maintain edge sharpness during high-speed threading and extending tool life.
- Material: Solid carbide construction for rigidity, wear resistance, and consistent thread quality across demanding machining tasks.
- Thread Profiles Covered: Broad coverage of common thread profiles, with the ability to machine both internal and external threads for many profiles (note exceptions for ISO / UN / NPSM / UNJ / Acme).
- Available Lengths: Five lengths ranging from 12 mm to 40 mm to fit a variety of machines and workpiece sizes.
- Double-Sided Edges: Each insert is double-edged, delivering two cutting edges for extended life and better value (exceptions apply for BSPT / NPT / NPTF / American Buttress / API RD).
- Pitch Range: Depending on the chosen length, supports pitches from 0.5 mm (32 TPI) up to 6.0 mm (4 TPI), enabling compatibility with a wide range of threading standards.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.

- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
