Description
Solid carbide thread mill for internal 5/16–1/2 x 24 TPI UN threads. DMTH is the hard-material version of Carmex’s 3-in-1 DMT. It drills the hole, cuts the thread and chamfers the edge in one cycle, and works in steel, hardened steel, stainless and super alloys. It has internal coolant.
This is an internal-only thread mill, and Carmex doesn’t list it for external threads. MT11 is ultra-fine sub-micron carbide with Carmex’s blue PVD triple coating, for hardened steel, stainless and super alloys. Carmex rates this tool for material up to 55 HRc. It’s a left-hand cutting tool, so program the spindle in reverse (M04).
