The Dormer Pramet A412 M3 HSS straight shank drill is designed to create chamfered clearance holes for standard metric threads. It features a 118° pilot with a 90° chamfer to guide drilling to the correct clearance diameter and depth, helping you achieve consistent thread engagement.
Constructed from premium high-speed steel, this short-series drill handles a range of materials—from steel and aluminium to stainless steel. The steam oxide finish minimizes material sticking to the cutting edge, promoting cleaner holes and clearer chips. Its straight shank and versatility make it suitable for use in both CNC and conventional machines.
