The Widin Half Tipped Dead Center (LM-HC Type, No.5) is a carbide-tipped dead center designed for dependable, precision turning. Its half-tipped design combines durable wear resistance with controlled contact, delivering stable support for a wide range of turning operations.
Morse taper options are available to fit your machine, including No.1 and No.7. This ensures easy integration with existing lathes while preserving the product’s precision and longevity.
- Minimized BITE interference: The half-tipped geometry reduces biting during engagement, promoting smoother starts, less heat generation, and more consistent concentric results.
- Ultra-low runout (0.00012"–0.0002"): Delivers true, precise rotation with runout in the range of 0.00012 to 0.0002 inches (0.003–0.005 mm), improving part accuracy and finish.
- Carbide-tipped half-tipped design: Carbide tip provides exceptional wear resistance and longer life, while the half-tipped profile minimizes friction for steady, reliable center support on demanding materials.
With easy Morse-taper compatibility, tight runout, and wear-resistant carbide, this dead center supports your workflow from setup to finish, helping you achieve tighter tolerances, smoother finishes, and fewer rework cycles.

Yes! We offer Free Next Day delivery via Royal Mail Tracked 24 on all orders over £50 ex VAT*. We also offer Free DPD Local Next Day delivery on all orders over £100 ex VAT*.
We also offer the following:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £5.90 (FREE on orders over £50 ex VAT*). Order before 4:30pm for next day delivery. No signature required.
- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
