Description

The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar is a compact, solid carbide bar designed for small-diameter boring and general turning. Built in a K20 grade with a 4.1 mm minimum diameter and a 15 mm reach, it features a left‑hand geometry and a precise R0.2 nose radius to deliver clean, consistent finishes in tight bores and pockets. Ideal for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists, this tool makes delicate boring tasks reliable and repeatable.

  • Tiny-diameter, long-reach boring capability: 4.1 mm minimum diameter and 15 mm reach with a precise R0.2 nose radius enable accurate, stable cutting in tight bores and shallow pockets. Left-hand configuration supports compatible setups.
  • Coating options for optimized performance: Choose BXC for low-cutting-speed work on a wide range of stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40) with PVD TiN coating, or BMK for high-heat resistance and smooth cutting across materials (ISO K10-K20) with advanced PVD triple coating.
  • Rigid carbide construction for reliability: Solid carbide construction provides stiffness and wear resistance, delivering consistent results and long tool life in demanding boring and turning applications.

This tiny boring bar is designed to simplify precision work in small bores while offering versatile performance across materials. The two coating grades let you tailor speed, heat tolerance, and finish quality to your specific job, helping you reduce downtime, improve surface finishes, and maintain steady productivity in your workshop or production line.
