Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a compact boring bar crafted from solid carbide, designed for precise small-diameter bore work and reliable general turning. With a 4.1 mm minimum diameter, a 22 mm reach, and a nose radius of R0.2, this tool accesses tight spaces and delivers clean starts in confined areas.
As part of Carmex’s carbide bar lineup, it offers two high-performance coating options to suit different materials and cutting speeds. The BXC grade uses a PVD TiN coating optimized for low cutting speeds and excels with a wide range of stainless steels (ISO P30–P50 / K25–K40), delivering longer tool life and smoother finishes. The BMK grade features a sub-micron structure with a triple PVD coating (ISO K10–K20), providing exceptionally high heat resistance for maximum performance and smooth cutting across tougher materials. The underlying MTR material is K20 grade, offering rigidity and wear resistance for consistent results.
- Coating options for versatile materials: BXC TiN coating enhances life and finish on stainless steels at low speeds, while BMK’s triple PVD coating delivers outstanding heat resistance for demanding jobs, giving you dependable performance across a broad material range.
- Tiny geometry for tight bores: 4.1 mm minimum diameter, 22 mm reach, and R0.2 nose radius enable precise entry and finishing passes in restricted spaces and delicate setups.
- Rugged carbide core for durability: Built on MTR–K20 grade, this tool delivers stiffness and wear resistance for repeatable cuts and long tool life across multiple projects.
This tiny boring bar combines compact size, purpose-built coatings, and a tough carbide core to streamline workflows, improve bore accuracy, and extend tool life. Whether you’re refining small-diameter bores, performing precise finishing cuts, or tackling general turning tasks, you can rely on consistent performance and predictable results from first cut to last.
