The Omega ER40 Collet with coolant seal is a precision clamping solution built for demanding milling and drilling applications. Optimized for 7mm tooling within a 3–26mm clamping range, it delivers ultra‑precise run‑out and reliable coolant delivery even under high pressure. Note: newer versions omit the rubber seal on the nose, but the integral metal seal continues to support high‑pressure cooling up to 120 bar, while the non‑overlapping longitudinal slots help prevent coolant loss.
- Ultra‑precise run‑out (<10 μm): ensures accurate tool positioning for clean finishes and consistent tolerances across production runs.
- High‑pressure coolant seal (up to 120 bar): sealed metal design minimizes coolant loss and enhances chip evacuation for longer tool life.
- Non‑overlapping slot geometry for round shanks: slots do not overlap at the centre to prevent leaks; pair with round‑shank tooling (no clamping flats) to maintain the seal and performance.
