The Vortex 5C Metric Lathe Collet - Hex - 16mm is a soft, re-boreable emergency collet designed for 5C lathe chucks. It’s ideal when you need a precise, custom grip for hex-shaped parts up to 16 mm in cross-section.
- Type: 5C Emergency Collet (soft and machinable) that can be bored to match your component’s exact size, depth, taper, or shape.
- Size & Compatibility: Hex gripping capability up to 16 mm; designed for use with standard 5C lathe collet chucks.
- Runout: 13–15 micron runout for improved workpiece concentricity and precision.
- Open-boring Pins: Pins fitted to keep the collet open during boring operations, ensuring stable sizing and safe machining.
- Re-boreable: Can be re-bored many times to hold larger parts as your needs evolve; keep the pins for future use.
- Material & Craftsmanship: Soft, machinable construction that accepts custom bore profiles without requiring specialized tooling beyond your boring setup.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
