Description
Carmex Small Indexable Carbide Insert is a precision threading insert designed for 60° internal threads. This compact, replaceable insert is engineered for a minimum bore of 8.0 mm (0.31 in), making it suitable for a range of internal threading applications.
- Profile: 60° threading insert with a partial-profile design for efficient chip control
- Minimum Bore: 8.0 mm (0.31 in) minimum bore diameter
- Material & Coating: Carbide grade BLU with a triple-layer PVD coating (sub-micron) for wear resistance
- Pitch Range: Solutions for pitches from 0.4 mm (364 TPI) to 3.0 mm (8 TPI)
- Material Compatibility: Effective on stainless steels, cast iron, titanium, non-ferrous metals, and most high-temperature alloys (M10–M20, K05–K20, N10–N20, S10–S20)
- Type: Indexable insert designed to be replaced in tooling without changing the entire holder
This combination of a 60° partial-profile design and BLU PVD coating delivers reliable threading performance across a wide material range, including challenging stainless steels and high-temperature alloys. The indexable design reduces downtime by letting you swap worn inserts rather than entire tools, while the 8 mm minimum bore makes it compatible with compact internal threading applications.
