Europa Tools Long Series Drill - HSS CO8 - Straw Coated - 5.3mm

The Europa Tools Long Series Drill – HSS CO8 – Straw Coated – 5.3mm is engineered for professional metalworking that demands depth, durability, and reliable precision. Built with a long-series design, this drill offers extended reach for deep holes and through-workpiece applications without compromising accuracy.

• Premium HSS CO8 construction delivers exceptional heat resistance and toughness, enabling clean, consistent holes in hard metals like stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron while minimizing deflection.
• Straw-coated finish reduces friction and wear, helping the bit glide through material with smoother chip evacuation and longer tool life in demanding drilling tasks.
• Long-series design provides extended reach for through-holes, deep pockets, and hard-to-access areas, making it a reliable choice for fabrication shops and on-site work.
• Precision-ground geometry promotes straight, true holes with minimal wandering, enhancing hole quality and reducing the need for post-drill deburring.
• Versatile diameter, specific performance at 5.3mm, optimized for mid-range hole sizes common in mechanical assemblies, jigs, and fixtures where accurate clearance and fast material removal matter.

Why this drill stands out:

• Durability that stands up to repeated use in tougher materials, reducing the need to switch bits mid-project.
• Heat management through cobalt-enhanced steel and coating, allowing sustained cutting action without premature dulling.
• Improved wear resistance translates to longer bit life in metalworking tasks, from fixture drilling to production runs.

Ideal for professionals and serious enthusiasts who regularly drill through metal, aluminum, and other alloys. Whether you’re rebuilding a drivetrain, fabricating a frame, or completing a precise-through hole in a steel plate, this long-series drill delivers dependable performance and consistent results.

Practical tips for best results:

• Use appropriate spindle speeds and steady feed pressure to prevent overheating; applying a light cutting fluid to ferrous metals helps extend life.
• Keep the drill perpendicular to the work surface for clean, true holes; pause occasionally to clear chips and prevent binding.
• Pair with compatible drill chucks and guides to maximize stability, especially on long-hole applications.
