Europa Tools Long Series Drill - HSS CO8 - Straw Coated - 11mm

Meet the Europa Tools Long Series Drill in 11 mm, a purpose-built solution for demanding metalworking tasks. Crafted from HSS CO8 and finished with a distinctive straw coating, this drill bit is engineered to deliver consistent, high-efficiency performance when through-holes in tough materials are required.

Extended reach, unwavering precision — the long-series design provides enhanced depth and reach for drilling in recessed areas, thick workpieces, or assemblies where space is limited. The geometry is optimized to minimize wander, helping you start cleanly and maintain true alignment from the first cut to the last chip.

• Premium material: HSS CO8 (cobalt-enhanced high-speed steel) delivers superior hardness and heat resistance, maintaining a sharp edge even when drilling harder metals.
• Straw-coated finish: The straw oxide layer reduces friction and wear, boosting tool life and delivering smoother cuts under sustained use.
• 11 mm diameter: A versatile size for a range of common hole requirements in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, and other alloys.
• Versatile applications: Ideal for fabrication, maintenance, automotive repair, and workshop projects where reliable deep-hole capability matters.
• Durability in demanding environments: The combination of cobalt alloying and protective coating helps resist heat and prolong cutting life, reducing downtime and tool changes.

Practical use tips — get the most from this long-series drill:

• Pair with appropriate cutting fluid or lubrication when working with metals to minimize heat buildup and extend edge life.
• Start with a light, steady feed and validate the workpiece is securely clamped to prevent deflection.
• For deeper holes, use peck drilling to clear chips and maintain cutting efficiency without overheating the edge.
• Keep the flutes clean and sharp; re-sharpen as needed to preserve performance across multiple holes.

Designed for professionals and serious hobbyists alike, the Europa Tools Long Series Drill in 11 mm delivers reliable cutting performance, extended reach, and longer tool life in a single, purpose-driven bit. If you’re tackling thicker materials, hard alloys, or jobs that require precise, deep holes, this drill bit is built to meet the challenge.
