Europa Tools Long Series Drill - HSS CO8 - Straw Coated - 8.7mm

The Europa Tools Long Series Drill - HSS CO8 - Straw Coated - 8.7mm is built for professionals who need dependable depth, precise holes, and lasting performance in demanding metalworking tasks. With its extended reach, this long-series drill tackles deep holes and recessed work with ease, reducing the need to flip between tools and improving workflow in confined spaces.

Why this drill stands out

• Long-series design: engineered for extended reach, it handles deep holes and through-workpieces without compromising straightness or control.
• HSS CO8 composition: cobalt-enriched high-speed steel delivers superior durability and cutting performance across a broad range of materials, including tougher alloys, while maintaining a sharp cutting edge.
• Straw-coated finish: the straw coating reduces friction and wear, helping the drill bite in smoothly and extend its service life in high-temperature or demanding drilling scenarios.
• Precise 8.7 mm diameter: a reliable size for fasteners, fixtures, and standard mechanical components, making it a go-to choice for consistent hole sizing.
• Built for reliability: designed to withstand regular use in professional workshops, job sites, and fabrication shops where consistent results matter.

Ideal use cases

Perfect for metal fabrication, automotive maintenance, and general mechanical assembly where deep holes are required or where drilling through thicker workpieces is common. This drill excels on stainless steel, alloy steel, and other hard metals, delivering steady performance without frequent re-sharpening.

How it helps you work smarter

• Extend your reach for deeper holes, reducing the need to switch tools mid-project.
• Trust in cobalt-enhanced durability to maintain cutting performance over time, even under heat buildup.
• Benefit from lower wear and smoother entry thanks to the straw coating, which minimizes galling and chip adhesion.

Care and best practices

Use at appropriate drilling speeds for metal and apply light lubrication or cutting fluid to maximize tool life. Let the drill do the work with steady, downward pressure to avoid deflection. When finished, wipe clean to prevent residue buildup and store in a dry environment to preserve the coating.
