Dormer Pramet A170 24.00 mm HSS ST STRAIGHT SHANK JOBBER DRILL, 1/2IN SHANK

Dormer Pramet A170 24.00 mm HSS straight shank jobber drill is a versatile, all‑purpose drill bit designed for professionals, fabricators, and hobbyists. With a 24.00 mm diameter and a 1/2" shank, it delivers robust cutting performance in standard chucks across a range of tools.

Its 118° conventional point starts holes quickly and stays sharp enough to re-sharpen, while the steam oxide finish minimizes material sticking to the edge for cleaner, straighter holes. Crafted from premium high-speed steel, this drill handles steel, aluminum, and stainless steel with consistent results, and its straight 1/2" shank makes it suitable for both handheld and machine drilling.

• 118° conventional point: Provides a strong, re-sharpenable tip that starts holes cleanly and maintains accuracy through repeated use.
• Steam oxide finish: Reduces sticking and built‑up edge, promoting smoother cuts and cleaner hole finishes across multiple metals.
• 1/2" parallel shank for compatibility: Fits standard chucks in handheld tools and machines, delivering secure grip and stable cutting for larger-diameter drilling.

Together, these features offer reliable, versatile performance for a wide range of projects—from fabrication and maintenance to prototyping. The A170 drill bit delivers consistent hole quality, minimizes downtime with easy re‑grinding, and fits commonly used equipment, helping you complete jobs faster with fewer tool changes.
