The Carmex Polygon Swiss Line Insert for Parting Off and Grooving is designed for Swiss-type lathes and automatic turning centers. It supports high-volume, cost-efficient machining of external grooving, back/front turning, profiling, thread turning, parting, and general turning applications.
Designed to work with indexable inserts, it features grounded cutting edges for reliable performance, the ability to index inserts directly on the machine for fast tool changes, and coated holders that resist abrasion to help maintain accuracy over long production runs.
- Inserts can be indexed directly on the machine: enables rapid tool changes with minimal downtime, keeping production flowing smoothly.
- Grounded cutting edges: deliver consistent geometry and clean finishes, improving predictability across repetitive Swiss-type cycles.
- Abrasion-resistant coated holders: resist wear in demanding environments, helping maintain accuracy and extend tool life between changes.
This tool is built for high-volume production, offering dependable parting off and grooving performance with quick setup, stable precision, and long-term reliability across a range of turning applications.
