Description
The Widin Live Centre is a heavy-duty carbide-tipped live center designed for turning applications on lathes that require strong support and precise alignment. It comes in the NKC Type family with Morse tapers available (No. 3 and No. 6), and features a sealed housing to prevent cutting oils and foreign substances from entering the spindle area, helping you keep maintenance to a minimum.
Built for durability, it uses taper roller bearings and a hardened shaft rated 58–62 HRC, delivering exceptionally low runout of 0.00012 inches (0.003 mm) under load. This combination translates to consistent starts, smooth spinning, and reliable performance across demanding turning tasks.
- Carbide-Tipped for Longer Tool Life: The carbide tip resists wear during heavy or abrasive turning, maintaining geometry longer and reducing replacement and maintenance downtime.
- Sealed Housing for Clean, Reliable Performance: Sealing keeps cutting oils, coolant, and contaminants out of critical joints, lowering corrosion risk and simplifying upkeep in tough workshop environments.
- Precise, Low Runout with Hardened Shaft: A 58–62 HRC shaft paired with taper roller bearings delivers minimal runout (0.00012" / 0.003 mm), ensuring repeatable starts and accurate finishes under heavy loads.
