The Widin Live Centre (HDSC Type, NO.4) is an economical, carbide-tipped live center designed to minimize bite interference during turning. Its minimized body reduces contact with surrounding components while delivering stable support and consistent accuracy.
Morse tapers No.3 and No.6 are available, broadening compatibility across a wide range of lathes and applications. The CAP rotation design helps prevent inflow of foreign substances, supporting longer life and reliable performance in challenging shop environments.
- Carbide-tipped for longer life: The carbide tip provides superior wear resistance, maintaining precise center support and extending service intervals so you spend less time changing inserts and more time turning.
- Minimized body for less bite interference: A compact, streamlined body reduces bite interference with fixtures and workholding, enabling smoother operation in tight setups and close clearances.
- Ultra-low runout: Runout of 0.00012" / 0.00024" (0.003 mm / 0.006 mm) delivers precise, repeatable centers for clean finishes.
