Description
The Widin Live Centre (HDSC Type No.5) is an economical, carbide-tipped live center designed to minimize bite interference during turning. Its minimized body keeps the center close to the work, reducing contact and chatter for smoother finishes and more consistent results.
Morse taper options No. 3 and No. 6 provide broad compatibility with common lathes, while the carbide tip delivers long service life under demanding cuts. The CAP rotation design helps prevent the inflow of foreign substances, keeping the center clean and reliable in tough shop environments.
- Carbide-tipped for long life: The carbide tip offers exceptional wear resistance for dependable performance and extended tool life across a variety of materials.
- Minimized body for less bite interference: A compact profile reduces contact with the workpiece, enabling smoother rotation and cleaner finishes with less setup friction.
- Broad compatibility with low run-out: Compatible with No. 3 and No. 6 Morse taps, while delivering tight run-out of 0.00012"–0.00024" (0.003–0.006 mm) for precise centering and repeatable results.

- DPD Local Next Day — £8.00 (FREE on orders over £100 ex VAT*). Standard next day delivery to UK mainland addresses.
- Royal Mail Special Delivery — £12.50. Guaranteed delivery before 1pm the next working day.
- DPD Saturday Delivery — £25.00. Must be ordered on Friday before 4pm. Pre-12pm delivery.
