The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool is a solid carbide bar designed for precise full-radius grooving on small-diameter workpieces. Its compact 15 mm reach and focused geometry make it ideal for tight pockets and delicate contours, while still performing well for general turning tasks.
This MKR - TNX Grade tool line offers two high-performance coatings to match your material and speed needs. The BXC PVD TiN-coated grade is optimized for low-speed cutting in stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), delivering stable cuts and longer tool life. The BMK sub-micron grade with a triple PVD coating provides exceptional heat resistance (ISO K10-K20) and smooth cutting across a broader range of materials, giving you reliable performance in demanding jobs.
- Full-radius grooving capability for tiny parts: Achieve true full-radius grooves on parts as small as 6.1 mm minimum diameter with a 2 mm groove width, using a compact 15 mm reach. This design minimizes secondary operations and preserves contour accuracy on small-diameter components.
- Two coating grades for versatile materials: Choose BXC PVD TiN-coated grade for reliable, low-speed cutting in stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40); or BMK sub-micron grade with triple PVD coating for higher heat resistance (ISO K10-K20) and smoother cutting across tougher jobs.
