Description
The Carmex Carbide Tiny Tool - Boring Bar is a compact, solid carbide solution designed for precision boring and reliable general turning. With a 5.1 mm minimum diameter, a 30 mm reach, and a left-hand nose with an R0.1 radius, it delivers tight, consistent holes in confined spaces. This tool is ideal for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists who need precise results in small-diameter work.
Two coated grades give you material-specific performance for different jobs. The BXC grade features a PVD TiN coating optimized for low cutting speeds and stainless steels (ISO P30-P50 / K25-K40), helping extend tool life and produce smoother finishes. The BMK grade uses a sub-micron structure with a triple PVD coating (ISO K10-K20) to deliver extremely high heat resistance and smooth cutting across a broad range of materials, making it a versatile option for tougher applications.
- PVD TiN coating on BXC grade for low-speed stainless steel cutting: Enhances wear resistance and delivers smoother finishes when working at lower speeds, helping you get repeatable hole quality on stainless steels.
